2. Purpose and legal basis
Your data is processed on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other laws relevant to us under data protection law. It is generally possible to use our services without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may still have security gaps under certain circumstances. It is not technically possible to completely protect data from access by third parties. The following processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), b) and f) EU GDPR:
Server log files
When you visit our website, a connection is established with your device. The following information collected in the process is temporarily stored in system files and automatically collected: IP address of your device, date and time of access, name and URL of retrieved files, website from which access was made or from which you were directed to our site (referrer URL), browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device and the name of your provider. The data mentioned above is processed by us for the purpose of establishing a smooth connection and system security. The resulting connection data is automatically deleted. If the website is misused, log data, the further storage of which is necessary for evidence purposes, will be kept until the incident has been clarified.
cookies
Some of our services use so-called cookies. They serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize you the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
SSL encryption
Our website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as entries in forms that you send to us as the operator. If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
contact form
If you send us messages via the contact form, your data from the form will be processed to process the request. The legal basis for transmission to us is consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR as part of the contact form. In the case of a request for an offer, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. The storage period of this data is based on commercial law requirements. The data you enter in the contact form remains with us, the purpose for data storage does not apply. Mandatory legal provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
Webflow
We host our website with Webflow. This is a service provided by Webflow Inc., 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (hereinafter Webflow). When you visit our website, Webflow collects various log files, including your IP addresses. Webflow is a tool for building and hosting websites. Webflow stores cookies or other recognition technologies that are necessary to display the page, to provide certain website functions and to ensure security (necessary cookies).
Amazon CloudFront CDN
We use Amazon CloudFront Content Delivery Network (CDN) from Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg (AWS) to increase the security and delivery speed of our website. A CDN is a network of distributed servers that is able to deliver optimized content to website users. For this purpose, personal data can be processed in AWS server log files. AWS is a recipient of your personal data and acts as a contract processor for us. Your personal data is stored by AWS for as long as is necessary for the purposes described. AWS has implemented compliance measures for international data transfers. These apply to all global activities in which AWS processes personal data from natural persons in the EU.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google. We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimize our website and advertising measures. Google processes website usage data on our behalf and is contractually committed to measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the processed data. During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, is recorded:

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which enables the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. Other data will be stored indefinitely in aggregate form.
3. Data transfer
Your data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to fulfill the purpose. Furthermore, data may be transferred to authorities on the basis of legal regulations in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) and e). In addition, in various cases, we use contract processors in accordance with Art. 28 EU GDPR, who receive data from us or may have access to your data in connection with their service.
